When I got my rescue dog all vaccinations and neutering were done by the rescue centre's local vet in Inca.
With a complete check up and passport intact the immediate search for a local vet was not needed.
However it has lead me to consider what to do. Do you have to register with a vet before needing any treatment like you would in the UK? If you do then how do you go about finding a vet. Referral of course is preferential but when you don't know many people or those that you do know are Spanish owners then finding a vet that is good, speaks a little English (necessity while I am still learning the language) it is another one of those problems that you have to find an answer too.
So much is taken for granted when you are living in a country where you are a native speaker. My Spanish language learning has not progressed to discussing doggy ailments yet!
