My sister in law has lost her beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Lilo. She was last seen on the evening of 19 March 2014 in the area of Muller/ Erskine in Alcudia town. Lilo is a female Yorkshire terrier, 8 years old. We are all devastated as Lilo is much loved and has never been apart from her family. She is chipped and we are hoping that if someone has found her they will take her to the vet. However if anyone out there has seen a stray Yorkshire or has any information that may help us to find her please get in touch. My email is callyhanlon@aol.com or you can call her owner Josefina on 699931337. Please pass this message on to your friends if you can. We would be so grateful for any information as we love her so much and miss her terribly.

Do you have a photo of her? Have you put it on Facebook? I live near Lago Menor so not in Alcudia town but I have friends around that area so I will copy your details and put on my FB page.

Thanks so much for replying. We are sick with worry. Lilo is still lost. I have set up a Facebook account called Lilo Yorkshire Terrier. Please send me a friend request and I will confirm it. I have been blocked from sending out any myself as I have spent most of yesterday messaging any one I can find in Alcudia! We would be so grateful for any help. Thanks so much.

I meant to say that Lilo moved recently from the port to Alcudia town. She used to live at the top of the hill behind the car park and spent a lot of time on the beach with her family. So its possible she may try to make her way there. I will post some photos of her here if you can explain to me how to do it. Many thanks.

Hi, as you will know by now, I have sent a friend request to your FB page. Here are details of how to insert a photo here. I am not sure how much traffic comes through here though. I only moved here 18 months ago (after annual visits over the past 26 years). I couldn't find any forums specifically for this end of the island and that's why I set one up but there didn't seem to be many people interested and that's why it has been stagnant for a while. Since moving here I have adopted a small terrier cross (who you will see on my FB page) and I would be devastated if I lost him so I know how you feel. I will definitely keep an eye out for yours as I am out and about. Let me know how you get on. Good luck, Marion There are a couple of different ways you can insert an image to display within a post you make. One way is to have the forum host the image via the attachment system, or by linking to an image that you have hosted elsewhere. This article will let you know how to link an image from a 3rd party hosting provider, from services like Photobucket, imgur, ImageShack, and etc. If you do not have an account with a hosting provider and would rather upload images directly to the forum instead, view the attachment help article found here for further instruction. To link directly to an image hosted elsewhere, you'll first need to get the direct URL to the image you want to embed within your post. Direct URL's will end with the file format of the image, such as .jpg, .png, .gif, and etc. Often times you can locate the direct URL of an image from the share options when viewing the image on the hosting service. An example of a direct image URL would be something like: i.imgur.com/tHtwFXm.gifOnce you have the direct URL of an image you would like to insert into a post, click the Reply button to an existing thread on the forum, or create a new thread to bring up the posting page. On the posting page click on the button found in the toolbar directly above the message area. Once clicked a pop-up window will display asking you for the Image URL, along with the Alt Text. Paste in the direct URL for the image you want to share within your post into the box provided for the Image URL option. The text you enter in the Alt Text field is what will display in your post any time the image itself is unable to load, either because the visitor has images disabled in their web browser or if your image hosting provider is having technical issues and is unable to load the image. Once you have the Image URL and Alt Text filled out, click on the Insert Image button found at the bottom of the pop-up window and you should see a reference to your image appear in the message area of your post. Once your post is made, the image will display directly in your message.

Another thought, Donna in Little Britain in the port is a dog lover too so she would probably put up a poster for you.

We have a mini pinscher which we brought back to the UK from Mallorca. I lived in Palma till a a little over a year ago but had to come back to the UK as my mum's not well. I really miss Mallorca. I shall tell my sister in law to go to Little Britain. It is almost opposite her parents apartment. I lived a short while in Alcudia and used to go there to buy brown sauce. I hope you're enjoying your life in Mallorca. It is very kind of you to help. As you said, we are all frantic. Lilo is such a lovely sweet dog. It breaks my heart. Best wishes.

Hi,
Thank you we are enjoying living here but, like you, I still have an elderly mum in the UK. At the moment I am taking each day/week/year as it comes but shortly after arriving here my mum lost her husband and she is now on her own.
One of the things you don't think about when you move away is what you will do if/when anything happens. But one thing is certain and that is that our little rescue dog will remain with us wherever we are.
Hope all goes well for you.
Best wishes.

I can understand your situation with your mum. I really loved My life in Mallorca. It's a beautiful place to live and I have a lot of great friends there but I was constantly worried about my mum. We drove back through France as we also have 3 lovely cats which we rescued from the streets as kittens. They are the cats that appear in the photo with Lilo. What a journey. 3 cats and a dog and all our things but worth every minute of it. They are all now settled here. Our dog loves his walks although I get some odd looks when I speak to him in Spanish! We are still looking for Lilo. My sister in laws family are out looking now as they have been every day. If I could I'd be on a plane there right now. We feel so helpless here in the UK. Thanks so much for your posts and comments. I shall attempt to download a photo here today. I am such a luddite. Best wishes.

I know the journey well through France. The last few years before we moved here we used to drive as we got fed up with the way you were treated on a plane.
I haven't been back to visit the UK (apart from a funeral shortly after we got our dog) as I don't want to leave Freddy in kennels here. It was bad enough being dumped as a young dog. I am sure he would panic as he doesn't like us to be out of his sight.
We did consider taking him with us and driving to visit my mum but I think even being left for 8 hours in a cage on the ferry would be too much for him. How did you manage with 3 cats and a dog???
I have said that the only time I would put him through that would be with a one way ticket! Originally my mum said she would come and visit as she loves Mallorca too but now she says she is too old!
I saw the update about a possible sighting in Bon Aire. I do hope that someone finds her soon. Meanwhile I will continue spreading the word.
Best wishes.

Hi Marion you really are a saint. Thanks for posting the photos. I did try earlier but ... I am a true Luddite. No news yet. They are still out looking.
